LÜHIÜLEVAADE: Loov-praktilise lõputöö kirjaliku osa teoreetiliseks aluseks on Laura Junsoni originaallooming, kus ta on nii muusika kui ka teksti autori rollis. Autor teeb ülevaate enda loomingut ja kõlapilti mõjutanud artistidest, selgitab, kuidas jõudis kontserdil kõlanud muusikalise materjalini.
Helilooja ja interpreet kirjaldab enda loomingu protsessi, arranžeerimisvõtteid, tekstide algideid ja nende kujunemist. Tutvustab kontserdi muusikute koosseisu ning põhjendab nende valikut. Olles 2010 aastal salvestanud CD Kodu, vältis Laura Junson uuemas loomingus teadlikult traditsioonilist helikõla, taktimõõte, rütmikaid, kitarrimängu tehnikat, taustavokaalide asetust. Antud diplomikontserdi kava lugudes on oluliselt rohkem erinevaid taktimõõte, helistike modulatsioone, erinevaid mitmehäälsusi (vt lisad). Varem koloratuur- ja lüürilise sopranina tuntust kogunud laulja rakendab uut vokaaltehnikat ja suuremat hääleulatust. Kõikide lugude tekstid on inglisekeelsed ja saanud inspiratsiooni erinevatest situatsioonidest, mõttelendudest, kogemustest.

LÄBITUD ÕPPEKAVA: jazzmuusika õppekava.
SUMMARY: In the first part of the theoretical written part of this diploma work I introduced the artists, who’s music has influenced my music composing process during this diploma-work and in several past years. The first subsection of the theoretical written part was focused on the two most important artists, who’s music has influenced me in general. In the second subsection were brought out single songs from different artists and the musical elements that I have used in arranging my music written for the dipoma-concert. The second part of the theoretical written part I described the composing process, the initial ideas involved with songs lyrics and the musical part. I explained the main musical elements that I have used in my arrangements and bring out the associations with the songs and artist brought out in the first theoretical written part.
The aim of this work was to compose music, that has a new approach in stylistic and in principal ways (lyrics, harmony, rhytmics, structural form etc.). Relying on my theoretical written part, where I analysed the musical elements, I got many ideas for writing my music and for arranging it as well. In this concert I use instead of a nylon-stringed acoustic guitar a Hohner’s 7/8 acoustic guitar with metallic strings. For the first time I play it standing up and with a thumb pick. Compared to my earlier music these diploma-concerts songs appear to have more different measures, modulations, different poyphonycal approaches and as well new treatment in vocaltecnique usage. All the lyrics are in english and for the first time in my arrangements the chime is used.
The written part of my diploma-work provided me plenty of new music that I listened and analysed. All the musical elements could not be used in my diploma-concerts song because I wanted those 6 – pieces of music to be possibly atypical and different which why I used the most contrasty ideas of them. But my music will certainly not be confined with this given diplom-work, as I continue writing music on the strenght of the amount of music that I have listened and analysed and probably give out a CD. This work reached it’s goal.
